What Have They Done?

My life was perfect. I had the run of the house and the entire yard. I loved and was loved unconditionally. I got all the attention. And then, out of the blue, my humans, Blondie and Brown Eyes came home with not one, but two little puppies. They called them Lhasa-Poos. They named them Raise and Re-raise, but they would both come when either was called, so they started calling the boy puppy, Mr. Re. That took care of their confusion. Okay, I'll admit, they are cute to look at, but they cramp my style. In the beginning, they peed and pooped everywhere. Anytime, anywhere they took a notion, they would squat down and do their business. I would get yelled at if I just had an accident in the house. That was seven months ago. They finally got the idea that you pee and poop outside and they finally figured out how to use the doggie door. Blondie and Brown Eyes did realize that I needed my space so they let the entire upstairs be mine so I could get away from the wild rapscallions when I needed to. Every now and then the "kids" will get up there to bother me when I am having a quite time, but I let them know who is boss and they run back down. I didn't like the intrusion at all at first, but I'm getting used to the idea that our family has grown. As long as I can be the boss, I guess I'm okay with that. It seems that humans have a lot of love to go around.
